The invention discloses a wave power generation glider and a working method thereof. The wave power generation glider comprises a floating body and a wave glider which are connected through a traction rope assembly, and a communication device, a positioning device, a control device, an electricity storage device and an energy converter are arranged in the floating body; and the communication device, the positioning device and the electricity storage device are respectively connected with the control device. The wave glider comprises a glider body, a plurality of wave power generation mechanisms are arranged on the two sides of the glider and connected with the energy converter, and the energy converter is connected with the electricity storage device. Each wave power generation mechanism comprises a rotating shaft, wherein the two ends of the rotating shaft are movably connected with the glider body and a fin plate correspondingly; and the rotating shaft comprises a sleeve and a movable rod capable of stretching out and drawing back in the sleeve. The fin plates are connected with the movable rods. The invention further discloses a working method of the wave power generation glider. Under the action of the wave glider, the purpose of power generation is achieved, and the gliding function based on waves is achieved.
