The invention provides an intelligent monitoring system and method for rail transit health, and relates to the field of rail monitoring. The system comprises: a first vibration sensor, which is used for collecting first vibration data when a train passes through each position of a track in a running process; a second vibration sensor, which is used for collecting reinspection vibration data of the train passing through each position of the track in the running process; a shooting unit, which is used for shooting the surface of the track; and a diagnosis control module, wherein the diagnosis control module is used for judging whether each position of the track is a suspected fault position with corrugation or not according to the first vibration data, the camera shooting unit is started when a position of the track is a suspected fault position with corrugation, then whether the suspected fault position is a corrugation position or not is determined according to the recheck vibration data of the suspected fault position, and if the the suspected fault position is the corrugation position, the corrugation position is shot, or otherwise, the shooting unit is closed. In this way, the accuracy of monitoring the corrugation condition of the track can be improved.
