The invention relates to the technical field of vehicle safety early warning, and discloses a radar-based truck rear-end collision prevention safety early warning system and method. The motion information of a front target vehicle is acquired through a millimeter-wave radar probe, such as the distance between vehicles, the relative speed and the like; through a self-vehicle speed sensor, a steering angle sensor, a brake sensor and an accelerator pedal sensor, the self-vehicle running state information such as self-vehicle speed, steering existence, braking existence and the like is acquired; the millimeter wave radar can accurately detect the motion state of a front vehicle, and according to the self-vehicle speed and the relative speed, calculate a safe distance which needs to be kept at present, compare the safe distance with the actually-measured distance, and if the actually-measured distance is smaller than the reminding and alarming distance, give an alarm once to remind a driver to loosen an accelerator and prepare for braking, and when the actually measured distance between the vehicles is smaller than the danger alarm distance, give a secondary alarm is to prompt a driver to brake immediately so as to avoid rear-end collision accidents.

    本发明涉及车辆安全预警技术领域,公开了一种基于雷达的大货车防追尾安全预警系统及方法,通过毫米波雷达探头获得前方目标车辆的运动信息,如车间距离、相对速度等,通过自车速度传感器、转向角传感器、制动传感器、加速踏板传感器、获得自车运行状态信息,如自车速度、有无转向、有无制动等,毫米波雷达能够准确地探知前方车辆的运动状态,并根据自车速度、相对速度,计算出当前应保持的安全距离并与实测车间距离相比较,若实测车间距离小于提醒报警距离,则进行一次报警,提醒驾驶员松油门并做好刹车准备;当实测车间距离小于危险报警距离,则进行二次报警,促使驾驶员立即制动,以避免追尾事故的发生。
