This laser weldable hook-and-loop fastener includes a laser-light-transmissive male molded hook-and-loop fastener (A) and a laser light absorption layer (B) that comprises a thermoplastic resin and that is integrated with the reverse of the male molded hook-and-loop fastener (A), wherein: the male molded hook-and-loop fastener (A) has a substrate and a large number of male engagement elements standing upright from the obverse of the substrate; the male engagement elements and the substrate are formed from the same resin selected from polyester elastomers and polyamides; the male engagement elements are arrayed in a row; and the absorption rate of infrared light with a wavelength of 980 nm is not less than 85% for the laser light absorption layer (B). The laser weldable hook-and-loop fastener is suitable for performing welding, by using laser light, on the reverse of an automobile interior material such as a ceiling material and a floor material.
