An automatic return charging device for an inspection aircraft comprises an infrared receiving head installed on the inspection aircraft, and the infrared receiving head is used for searching an infrared signal sent by a charging area on a moving track; a receiving coil, a rectifying and voltage-stabilizing circuit and a power supply module are arranged in the inspection aircraft; the receiving coil is connected with the rectifying and voltage-stabilizing circuit which is connected with the power supply module. The device further comprises a wireless charging transmitting device which comprises an infrared transmitting head, a single chip microcomputer module, a high-frequency power source and a transmitting coil; the infrared transmitting head is connected with the single chip microcomputer module which is connected with the high-frequency power source, and the high-frequency power source is connected with the transmitting coil. After the aircraft is positioned, the device is adopted for wireless charging. The device has the advantages of being simple in structure, low in cost and easy to operate.
