The invention discloses a vehicle structure for improving side collision safety performance of a new energy electric vehicle, the vehicle structure comprises a vehicle chassis, the vehicle chassis comprises a chassis bottom plate and chassis side plates symmetrically arranged on the chassis bottom plate, a battery mounting bin for mounting a battery pack is arranged on the chassis bottom plate, and main supporting assemblies are symmetrically arranged between the chassis side plates; auxiliary supporting assemblies are further symmetrically arranged between the chassis side plate and the battery mounting bin, a protection mechanism is arranged between the bottom of the battery mounting bin and the chassis bottom plate, and the protection mechanism is assembled to be used for enabling the battery mounting bin to move towards the other side and buffering acting force when the battery mounting bin is subjected to the transverse acting force. According to the vehicle structure for improving the side collision safety performance of the new energy electric vehicle, collision acting force is buffered for multiple times through the main supporting assembly and the auxiliary supporting assembly, damaged parts are blocked through the auxiliary supporting assembly, meanwhile the battery mounting bin can move in the other collision direction through the protection mechanism.
