The invention relates to a tyre having ozone resistance and improved mechanical properties, said tyre being provided with at least one external sidewall having a composition based on an elastomeric matrix comprising at least one isoprene elastomer and polybutadiene, 0.2 to 10 pce of at least one salt of an alkali, alkaline-earth or lanthanide metal, at least one reinforcing filler, and a cross-linking system.
