The invention relates to the technical field of lifting, in particular to a self-balancing lifting appliance and a crane. The self-balancing lifting appliance comprises at least one lifting unit, the at least one lifting unit is rotatably connected with the crane, the lifting unit comprises at least two lifting points which slide close to each other or away from each other, the lifting points are used for being connected with a lifted object, or the lifting points are rotatably connected with other lifting units to form a multi-layer tree-shaped structure. The lifting device has the advantages that the lifting force of different lifting points can be adaptively adjusted, the lifting process is more stable, and the lifted object is not prone to being damaged.
