The invention discloses a self-rescue and escape device in a lift car. The self-rescue and escape device comprises the lift car, a traction wheel, a steel wire rope, a counterweight and a steel wire rope reel mechanism, wherein the first end of the steel wire rope is connected with the lift car; the middle part of the steel wire rope penetrates through the traction wheel, and the second end of the steel wire rope is further connected with the counterweight; and the middle part of the steel wire rope is further wound on the steel wire rope reel mechanism, wherein a control key is further arranged in the lift car, and the control key is electrically connected with the steel wire rope reel mechanism. According to the self-rescue and escape device, through cooperation of the control key and the steel wire rope reel mechanism, when an elevator stops at a non-leveling position due to power failure or fault, and personnel in the car can control the steel wire rope reel mechanism to act through control over the control key, and the steel wire rope is wound into the steel wire rope reel mechanism; the lift car is pulled and lifted to the leveling position, and a door of the lift car is manually opened; and finally, self-rescue of people in the lift car is realized.
