The invention relates to the technical field of airplanes, and particularly discloses a short-distance take-off and landing airplane. The airplane comprises a fuselage, two main wings and two empennages. The two main wings and the two empennages are rotatably connected with the fuselage, a first rotation driving system is arranged between the two main wings and the fuselage, and a second rotation driving system is arranged between the empennages and the fuselage; and engines are arranged on the lower surfaces of the main wings and the empennages, and telescopic propellers are connected to output shafts of the engines of the main wings. According to the short-distance take-off and landing airplane disclosed by the invention, the angles between the wings and the airplane body can be changed according to different flight states of the airplane through the self-locking hydraulic motors, and the acceleration and take-off and landing processes can be realized by combining the rotation angles of the wings and only through a set of power system devices on the whole wings; and the power system of the whole airplane occupies a small space of the airplane, and the problems that an existing short-distance take-off and landing airplane is large in weight, poor in flexibility, small in oil carrying amount, small in combat radius and the like are effectively solved.
