The electric vehicle charging pile comprises a controller, a metering module, a working circuit and a relay, the relay is arranged on the working circuit, and the working circuit, the metering module and the controller are connected with one another; the controller is used for receiving a charging instruction and sending a detection signal to the metering module based on the charging instruction; the metering module is used for detecting the working circuit based on the detection signal, acquiring the power supply state of the working circuit and feeding back the power supply state to the controller; and the controller is also used for controlling the relay to be closed when the power supply state is a zero-crossing state, so that the working circuit executes charging work. The power supply state of the working circuit can be obtained through a metering chip, and charging power supply is performed when the power supply state of the working circuit is the zero-crossing state, so that the charging stability can be improved, relay adhesion is prevented, and the service life of the relay is prolonged.
