The two-degree-of-freedom automatic compensation hoisting machinery brake comprises a base (1), two groups of brake arms (2), two groups of brake bodies, brake wheels (5) and a push rod assembly (6). The two groups of brake arms (2) and the two groups of brake bodies are correspondingly distributed on two sides of the brake wheels (5), the brake bodies are movably mounted on the brake arms (2), the brake arms (2) are mounted on the base (1), the push rod assembly (6) is connected with two groups of brake arms (2), the brake arms (2) have two-degree-of-freedom motion capability, the two-degree-of-freedom motion capability comprises swinging in a vertical plane and rotating motion taking the axes of the brake arms (2) as rotating shafts, and the normal vector of the vertical plane is parallel to the axes of the brake wheels (5). Compared with the prior art, the two-degree-of-freedom automatic compensation hoisting machinery brake is good in braking effect, and the braking performance is improved.
