The resistance elements (R2-R7) can be bridged by the switch elements (Q1-Q7), and the switch logic (2) is designed in such a way as to increase the load current in stages up to an end value by an activating sequence of the switch elements (Q1-Q7). The invention further relates to a method for controlling load currents of the electrical load (RL).
