The device (120) also comprises a communication module (205), which is designed to receive control data from an external unit, and at least one lighting element (208), which is designed to emit light that is visible in the surroundings of the wheel stopper device (120). The device (120) further comprises a control unit (202), which is designed to operate the lighting element (208) in accordance with the control data.
