The invention relates to an independent suspension system and engineering machinery, the independent suspension system comprises an oil cylinder, and the oil cylinder comprises a shell; a piston rod movably arranged in the shell; a first piston connected to the piston rod and located in the shell; a connecting piece, wherein a part of the connecting piece is arranged in the shell, and the connecting piece is rotatably arranged relative to the shell; wherein the piston rod and the first piston are configured to synchronously move relative to the shell, and the first piston is configured to drive the connecting piece to rotate relative to the shell; a transmission mechanism connected to the connecting piece; and a hub mounting part connected to the transmission mechanism. The connecting piece and the oil cylinder are integrated together, the integration degree of parts is improved, the step of connecting the piston and the connecting piece can be simplified during use, and the assembly efficiency is improved.
