A specific embodiment of the method comprises the steps of determining vehicle information of a target vehicle; detecting the concentration of carbon monoxide outside the target vehicle in response to the situation that idling duration represented by idling information exceeds a first preset threshold value and the state represented by the air conditioner operation state information is external circulation; in response to the situation that the carbon monoxide concentration outside the target vehicle exceeds a second preset threshold value, detecting the in-vehicle carbon monoxide concentration of the target vehicle; determining the weight of the in-vehicle carbon monoxide concentration standard according to the scene information of the target vehicle; determining the product of the weight of the in-vehicle carbon monoxide concentration standard and the numerical value of the in-vehicle carbon monoxide concentration standard as a third preset threshold value; and enabling an alarm to display alarm information in response to the condition that the carbon monoxide concentration in the vehicle exceeds the third preset threshold value. According to the embodiment, the safety of the target vehicle is improved, and the personal safety of a driver is guaranteed.
