System for vacuuming braking particles from a friction braking system of a vehicle, the vacuuming system comprising a vacuum source (1), a suction orifice (83), a filter (2), a pipe (3) connecting the suction orifice to the vacuum source, a control unit (6) configured to control the vacuum source, the vacuuming system further comprising a stream of information emanating from a control computer (61) that controls a motor-generator of a device providing the traction/braking of the vehicle, the control unit being configured to operate the vacuum source in a manner pre-emptive of actual activation of the friction braking device, the control unit operating the vacuum source according, inter alia, to the activation of an electromagnetic brake, and associated method.
