The invention discloses a viaduct violation vehicle ascending detection system and method. The viaduct violation vehicle ascending detection system comprises a flexible pressure sensing mechanism, wherein the flexible pressure sensing mechanism comprises a bottom plate, the top part of the bottom plate is provided with a first groove which is linearly distributed, flexible pressure sensors are fixedly arranged in the first groove, a buffer assembly is arranged above the flexible pressure sensors for protecting the flexible pressure sensors, and mounting mechanisms are fixedly arranged at the two ends of the flexible pressure sensing mechanism for mounting and fixing the flexible pressure sensing mechanism. By arranging the plurality of flexible pressure sensors are arranged at the upstream front end of a viaduct to detect vehicles entering the viaduct and judge whether the vehicles are illegal vehicles or not, and driving of the illegal vehicles into the viaduct is reduced as soon as possible, completeness of the viaduct is guaranteed; in addition, the flexible pressure sensors are arranged in the bottom plate, is fixed on the viaduct ground and cannot move easily, so that the influence of vehicles on the flexible pressure sensors can be reduced.
