The invention relates to a fabricated material lifting device and a method for hoisting, lifting and mounting glass plates. A supporting assembly is formed by connecting a front supporting arm and a rear supporting arm into a whole through a suspension beam; the front lower section and the middle section of the front supporting arm are connected in a height-adjustable mode; a supporting groove with an upward opening is formed in the top end of the middle section; a buckling groove with a downward opening is formed in the bottom end of the front upper section of the front supporting arm; the rear lower section and the rear upper section of the rear supporting arm are connected in a height-adjustable mode; a vertical round bar is welded to the bottom of the rear lower section and connected with a balancing weight in an inserted mode; the top end of the rear upper section is connected with a hollow pipe fitting; the middle position of the front transverse section of the suspension beam is fixedly inserted into a hole formed by buckling the supporting groove and the buckling groove; the middle transverse section of the suspension beam is fixedly inserted into the rear end of the front transverse section and the front end of the rear transverse section of the suspension beam; the rear transverse section is fixedly inserted into the front end of the pipe fitting, and the motor support is fixedly inserted into the rear end of the pipe fitting; one end of the hoisting steel rope is connected with the electric hoister; the middle is propped against the pulley assembly at the front end of the front transverse section; and the other end is connected with the hook through a universal adapter.
