The invention discloses a middle driving mechanism for a power-assisted bicycle, which comprises a shell, a motor, a planetary gear mechanism in transmission connection with an output shaft of the motor, a bevel gear driving end and a bevel gear driven end meshed with the bevel gear driving end, the bevel gear driven end is connected with a crankset, and the planetary gear mechanism comprises a planetary gear and a planetary gear output support. The mechanism further comprises a bevel gear support which is arranged outside the planetary gear output support in a sleeving mode, a clutch which is arranged between the planetary gear output support and the bevel gear support, and the planetary gear output support and the bevel gear support are in transmission connection through the clutch; the bevel gear driving end is coaxially and fixedly connected with the bevel gear support, and a supporting assembly is arranged outside the bevel gear support and used for supporting the planetary gear output support and the bevel gear driving end. The length of the middle driving mechanism in the axial direction is short, so that the overall structure and the size are more compact, a battery with larger capacity can be conveniently installed on the power-assisted bicycle, and the durability is improved.
