A traffic flow detection device for road traffic belongs to the field of equipment for road traffic. The lower end of an outer shell is fixedly connected with a fixed seat; the fixed seat is fixedly connected to the upper end of a bracket; one end of a connecting rod I is fixedly connected to the side surface of the fixed seat, and the other end of the connecting rod I is fixedly connected with a connecting rod II; the upper end of the connecting rod II is fixedly connected with a baffle plate; a T-shaped sliding groove is formed in the lower end of the baffle plate; a turning device is in sliding fit with the T-shaped sliding groove; the top end of a camera is hollow; an arc-shaped shell is in sliding fit with the top end of the outer shell; and an inner shell is fixedly connected to the side face of a supporting rod. A movable device can be pushed to rotate through wind power, so that the outer shell is intermittently communicated with the outside, and the camera is cooled; and the communication end of the outer shell and the outside is a leeside, so that dust is prevented from being directly blown into the camera by wind, and the service life of the camera is ensured.
