The invention provides a shock absorber, a shock absorption cab and an internal combustion locomotive, and belongs to the technical field of rail vehicles. The shock absorber comprises a mandrel, an elastic body arranged on the mandrel in a sleeving mode, a first mounting seat arranged on the mandrel in a sleeving mode and a second mounting seat; the first mounting seat is located above the elastic body and used for being connected with the cab; and the top of the second mounting seat is connected with the middle of the elastic body, and the bottom of the second mounting seat is used for being connected with a locomotive body. The shock absorption cab comprises a carriage body and the shock absorber arranged at the bottom of the carriage body, and the shock absorber is used for connecting the carriage body with the locomotive body. The internal combustion locomotive comprises the locomotive body and the shock absorption cab arranged on the locomotive body. According to the shock absorber, the shock absorption cab and the internal combustion locomotive, a transmission route for transmitting vibration sources such as wheel rails, engines and air compressors to the carriage body through the locomotive body is isolated, and the shock absorption effect is good.
