The invention provides a tank closing structure. The purpose of the present invention is to alleviate stress concentration due to swelling deformation of a cover member. The tank closing structure comprises a tank main body (12) for storing liquid, a cover member (18) for closing an opening part (16) formed in the tank main body (12) and having liquid swelling property, and a retaining ring (40) for retaining a flange part (18b) of the cover member (18) on the tank main body (12). The tank closing structure is provided with a deformation promoting portion for promoting deformation in which the center portion in the radial direction is recessed toward the inside of the tank main body (12) due to swelling of the flange portion (18b) of the cover member (18). The deformation promoting section is an inclined surface (53) that is formed on an opposing surface of the retaining ring (40) that faces the outer peripheral section of the cover member (18) and that is inclined in a direction that gradually separates from the cover member (18) from the inside toward the outside in the radial direction.
