The invention provides a method for blind area assistance of a slope section, the slope section at least comprises a first road section and a second road section, the slope value of the first road section is greater than that of the second road section, and the method comprises the following steps: S1, acquiring surrounding environment information of a vehicle; S2, analyzing and processing the surrounding environment information and judging whether the vehicle is transitioning from the first road section to the second road section or not based on the surrounding environment information; and S3, when determining that the vehicle is transitioning from the first road section to the second road section, starting the blind area obstacle avoidance function. The invention further provides a device for assisting the blind area of the slope section. The invention aims to solve the problem of a visual field blind area in a transition road section when a vehicle is about to end climbing or is ready to go downhill, so as to improve the driving safety.
