The invention relates to the technical field of straddle type monorail traffic, in particular to a cross-section-variable straddle type monorail turnout which comprises a turnout beam body, a first variable cross-section driving device, a second variable cross-section driving device, a turnout beam driving device, a guide panel, a stabilizing panel, an inter-beam connecting device and a turnout beam locking device. The first variable cross-section driving device is used for driving the guide panels on the two sides to move, and the second variable cross-section driving device is used for driving the stable panels on the two sides to move; the turnout beam driving device is arranged at the bottom of the turnout beam body and provides power input for transferring and withdrawing of the variable cross-section monorail turnout; and the inter-beam connecting device and the turnout beam locking device are connected, the inter-beam connecting device is used for connecting the turnout beam body with a track beam in butt joint with the inter-beam connecting device, and the turnout beam locking device is used for locking the turnout beam body. The cross-section-variable straddle type monorail turnout has the advantages of simple and compact structure, low design cost and excellent interchangeability.
