The invention discloses a parking brake device for an electric drive axle of an electric vehicle. The parking brake device comprises a motor, a parking brake assembly, a reduction gearbox assembly, a differential mechanism and the drive axle. The parking brake assembly is connected with an output shaft of the motor assembly, the reduction gearbox assembly is connected with a gear at the output shaft end of the motor, the differential mechanism is connected with the reduction gearbox assembly, and the drive axle is connected with the differential mechanism. The parking brake assembly comprises brake calipers, a brake disc and a parking brake triggering mechanism. The brake disc is arranged on an output shaft of the motor, and the brake caliper is arranged on the brake disc in a sleeving mode. The parking brake triggering mechanism is connected with the brake calipers; according to the device, the disc brake with the small size is additionally arranged in the electric drive axle transmission chain, the transmission ratio of a transmission system is utilized, the braking performance is effectively improved, and meanwhile due to the fact that the brake is integrated into the reduction gearbox and the motor shell, the parking brake is effectively protected, and the parking brake is more reliable; and meanwhile, the overall available space is saved.
