A fuel storage tank for an LNG ship is disclosed in the invention, and comprises a storage tank body and a box body, a supporting block is fixedly installed at the top of the box body, a first cavityis formed in the supporting block, and a first buffer mechanism is arranged in the first cavity in a sliding mode; and a connecting plate slidably penetrating through the top of the first cavity is fixedly mounted at the top of the first buffer mechanism, a second cavity is formed in the connecting plate, a penetrating opening is formed in the top of the second cavity, and a second buffer mechanism is arranged in the second cavity. Through cooperative use of the storage tank, the box body, the supporting block, the first cavity, the connecting plate, the second cavity, the penetrating opening,the first buffer mechanism and the second buffer mechanism, and the purpose of buffering the storage tank in the vertical direction is achieved through a first buffer spring; and through arrangementof a second buffer spring and balls, the purpose of buffering the storage tank in the horizontal direction is achieved.
