The invention discloses an elevator button which comprises a shell, a button body and an electronic board. The button body and the electronic board are contained in the shell, and the button body elastically cooperates with the electronic board. The elevator button further comprises a metal part and a detection circuit, the metal part is installed on the outer surface of the button body, the detection circuit is installed in the shell and electrically connected with the electronic board, and the metal part is electrically connected with the detection circuit. The invention further relates to acontrol method of the elevator button. According to the elevator button, physical keys and braille alphabet are reserved and matched with an induction module formed by the metal part and the detection circuit, gesture induction elevator calling can be achieved, the non-contact requirement is met, and the problems that the physical keys are prone to strain and germ spreading is prone to being caused are solved; and meanwhile, traditional physical keys of an elevator are reserved, the blind can use the elevator through the braille alphabet, the adaptation period of a user is shortened, and theapplication range is also widened. The control method of the elevator button is used for recognizing the intention of an operator and reducing misoperation of the blind during operation.
