The invention relates to the technical field of braking, and in particular relates to an energy feedback type brake-by-wire method. The method comprises the steps of starting an electric vehicle, rotating wheels through an engine, stepping down a brake pedal by an operator, decelerating through a motor, reducing the synchronous rotating speed of the motor at the moment that the frequency of a frequency converter is reduced, due to mechanical inertia, the rotating speed of a rotor of the motor being not changed, the actual rotating speed being larger than the given rotating speed, the back electromotive force of the motor being higher than the voltage of the direct-current end of the frequency converter, the motor becoming a generator, transmitting electric energy generated by the motor back to a main power supply in an electric automobile through a connecting wire, and in the event of a brake failure, automatically opening a hydraulic device, so that a hydraulic rod pushes a brake plate to emergently brake equipment, and the safety of an operator is improved. The electric automobile, a variable-frequency speed regulating device, multiple groups of connecting circuits, a brake module, the hydraulic pump, the hydraulic rod and the brake plate are included.
