The invention discloses a fault detection method for an electric bicycle. The method comprises the steps: obtaining the fault self-detection information of a target electric device, wherein the targetelectric device is an electric device in an electric bicycle; and obtaining fault information of the electric bicycle according to the fault self-checking information. The method can save manpower successfully and improve the detection efficiency of the faulty vehicle.
