The invention discloses a current collecting device for a railway vehicle and the railway vehicle with the current collecting device. The current collecting device comprises a support, a connecting arm and a current collecting sliding plate. The support is used for being connected with a rail vehicle, one end of the connecting arm is connected with the support, the other end of the connecting armis rotatably connected with the current collection sliding plate, and when the current collection sliding plate is extruded, the current collection sliding plate can rotate relative to the support sothat the current collection sliding plate can make contact with the rail. According to the current collection device for the rail vehicle, when the current collection sliding plate is extruded, the current collection sliding plate can rotate relative to the support to be in good contact with the rail, so that the change of the contact area between the current collection sliding plate and the railis reduced as much as possible, and the current collection quality and the walking stability of the rail vehicle are improved.
