An adjustment device (20) for a track conditioning unit is described, which adjustment device (20) has at least one measuring unit (21) for determining a lateral offset (QV) of a rail (11), travelledon by a rail vehicle, relative to an effective range (12) of a track conditioning unit (25) of the rail vehicle or at least one measuring unit for determining the relative position of a bogie (82) with respect to the car body (81) of the rail vehicle. The adjustment device (20) for a track conditioning unit also comprises a determining unit (22) for determining an actuation command (AB) for an actuation unit (23) in accordance with the determined lateral offset (QV) between the effective range of the track conditioning unit and the rail or alternatively in accordance with the relative positionof the bogie (82) with respect to the car body (81). Part of the adjustment device (20) for the track conditioning unit is also an actuation unit (23) for actuating an actuator unit (24) of the track-conditioning unit (25) with an adjustment command (SB) which is generated on the basis of the actuation command (AB). The adjustment device (20) for a track-conditioning unit also has an actuator unit (24) for adjusting an effective range of the track conditioning unit (25) on the basis of the adjustment command (SB). In addition, a rail vehicle is described. Moreover, a process for adjusting a track conditioning unit (25) is described.
