The invention relates to the technical field of fire fighting trucks, and in particular relates to an electric control system of a chassis special for a series hybrid airport fire fighting truck. Thesystem comprises the steps that S1 a main driving motor and an auxiliary driving motor are started to jointly drive a chassis to run; and S2 the main driving motor is started to drive the chassis anda water pump motor to work; if the electric quantity SOC of a power battery is higher than the upper limit threshold value, an extended-range motor auxiliary power battery supplies power to the main driving motor; if the electric quantity SOC of the power battery is lower than the lower limit threshold value, an engine drives the extended-range motor to generate power, and the extended-range motorcharges the power battery and supplies power to the main driving motor; if the electric quantity SOC of the power battery is greater than the lower limit threshold and less than the upper limit threshold, the engine drives the extended-range motor to supply power to the main driving motor, and the power battery assists the extended-range motor in supplying power to the main driving motor. The problems that a traditional chassis is single in power source, waste gas is discharged when a vehicle enters and exits a garage, water pump work is affected by the work state of the engine, and the vehicle cannot run when the engine breaks down or a single motor breaks down are solved.
