The invention discloses a brake control system of an unmanned mine truck and a brake control method thereof. The system comprises a front axle pressure sensor, a rear axle pressure sensor, a first PLC, a second PLC, an electric drive control module and a decision controller. The first PLC is in signal connection with the front axle pressure sensor, the rear axle pressure sensor, an ECU of the unmanned mine truck, the decision controller, the electric drive control module and the second PLC, and the second PLC is further connected with an electric drive controller. The first PLC is used for obtaining an engine rotating speed signal, a decision control instruction gear feedback signal and a vehicle speed feedback signal and outputting a parking brake control signal and/or a loading brake control signal to the electric drive control module based on the signals. The electric drive control module controls the unmanned mine truck to implement braking according to the parking braking controlsignal or the loading braking control signal. Therefore, the unmanned mine truck can be effectively braked according to the specific operating environment under the control of the brake control system, and safe operation of the unmanned mine truck is guaranteed.
