The method comprises the following steps of preparing a precursor; an isolation valve (22), which is assigned to the wheel brake (28) in the flow direction of the hydraulic fluid and which is located in the flow path of the hydraulic fluid, is adjusted in the direction of the closed state in order to set a pressure difference betweena region (76) located fluidically upstream of the isolation valve (22) and a region (78) located fluidically downstream of the isolation valve (22). The invention also relates to the hydraulic brakesystem (10) for a motor vehicle, to a computer program product, to a control unit (48), and to a motor vehicle.
