The invention relates to a workbench for high-rise building construction. The workbench comprises two vertically parallel splicable steel rails, the splicable steel rails are connected through a plurality of cross beams and inclined steel, and the inner side surfaces and the outer side surfaces of the splicable steel rails are correspondingly provided with inner rail grooves and outer rail grooves; and the workbench further comprises a counterweight frame, a lifting frame, a workbench assembly, a driving assembly and a belt pulley fixing assembly arranged on the counterweight frame. The workbench with a brake assembly is provided, after a control switch or an infrared remote controller sends out a brake command, a control device controls a servo motor to stop rotating, meanwhile, the control device controls a brake cylinder to pull back a brake push rod, the upper end and the lower end of a U-shaped brake belt are tensioned, and a brake gear is meshed with damping teeth to achieve thebrake parking purpose.
