The invention discloses a temporary charging device for a new energy automobile. The device comprises a box body; a battery cavity is formed in the box body; a belt cavity is formed in the upper sideof the battery cavity in a communicating manner; a heat dissipation device is arranged in the belt cavity; a driving cavity is formed in the right side of the belt cavity; a motor cavity is formed above the driving cavity; and a main motor is fixed in the left end wall of the motor cavity. The device disclosed in the invention can be placed in a trunk of an automobile; when the automobile runs andthe power is exhausted, the automobile can be timely charged, the automobile is ensured to have residual power to search for a charging pile for charging; the device has a self-protection function, heat can be dissipated autonomously in the charging process, a fire source can be extinguished in time when an internal battery is on fire, the safety performance is greatly improved, and the safety ofa user is protected.
