The invention provides an eddy current brake for a maglev train, and the brake comprises an eddy current brake electromagnet and a brake air cylinder. The eddy current brake electromagnet is arrangedon the maglev train and is opposite to a guide rail of the maglev train in the horizontal direction; the brake air cylinder comprises a movable component, and the movable component is pushed by air pressure and is in rigid connection with the eddy current brake electromagnet, so that the eddy current brake electromagnet is controllably close to or far away from the guide rail. In addition, the invention further provides a control device for the eddy current brake and the maglev train with the eddy current brake, the transverse stretching and retracting of the eddy current brake of the high-speed maglev train are controlled, and the defect of emergency braking of an eddy current braking system of the high-speed maglev train is overcome, thereby improving the reliability of emergency braking, and adding the parking braking function. The device is simple and reliable in structure and control.
