The invention describes an air position information and traffic management system for unmanned and manned aircraft, in which system the positional data (20) of aircraft that can be sensed by ATM sensors (2) are sensed, tracked and represented in an air position image (5) by means of ATM sensors (2) of the air position information and traffic management system (1). The data network (3) is also provided with a tracking device (4) designed to track the sensed positional data (20) and prepare said data as an air position image (5) so that the air position image (5) can be represented on a displaydevice (6, 18, 19) that can be connected to the data network (3). Furthermore, aircraft that cannot be sensed by means of ATM sensors (2) are equipped with portable position sensor apparatus (10, 11,12) of the air position information and traffic management system (1), and the portable position sensor apparatus (10, 11, 12) are designed to sense current positional data (20), to communicate, by means of a radio communication device, with a ground station (14) connected to the data network (3), and to upload the positional data (20) to the data network (3), so that a complete air position image(5) can be represented on a display device (6, 18, 19) that can be connected to the data network (3).
