The invention relates to a maintenance device applicable to changing of M2000-type high-voltage flexible direct-current converter valve submodules and a working method thereof. The maintenance deviceapplicable to changing of M2000-type high-voltage flexible direct-current converter valve submodules is characterized by comprising cross steel beams which are fixedly arranged on supporting post insulators of a valve tower of an M2000-type high-voltage flexible direct-current converter valve and a rail longitudinal beam which is fixedly arranged on the cross steel beams; a walking trolley is slidably connected to the rail longitudinal beam; a stretching screw and a hoisting device are sequentially connected to the lower part of the walking trolley; the hoisting device comprises a connection cross rod which is connected to the lower part of the stretching screw and two triangular hoisting frames which are connected to two end parts of the cross rod; and limiting hoisting pins which are matched with limiting holes formed in the lower part of a valve tower submodule are arranged on the inner sides of the bottom sides of the triangular hoisting frames.
