The invention relates to a lead-acid storage battery which comprises a battery case and a pole group installed in the battery case, the battery case has a length, a width and a height, the height of the battery case is larger than the length, the length is larger than the width, and the gravity direction of the lead-acid storage battery is consistent with the width direction of the battery case when the lead-acid storage battery is placed. The placement mode of the lead-acid storage battery is beneficial to riding stability, the layering of electrolyte is reduced, and the space of an electricvehicle in the non-gravity direction can be saved.
