The invention relates to a motor system high-voltage safety protection method and device for a new energy automobile. The high-voltage safety protection method comprises the following steps of detecting insulation performance of a CPU controller and insulation performance of a motor system; acquiring insulation performance detection information, and judging whether insulation is abnormal or not; when insulation is abnormal, starting safety grounding protection, and when insulation is not abnormal, directly entering high-voltage safety protection; detecting a high-voltage signal of the motor system; reading a target high-voltage signal of the motor system, and judging whether the target high-voltage signal reaches a high-voltage preset value or not; and when a high-voltage request is received, carrying out high-voltage safety protection on the motor system. According to the high-voltage safety protection method and device provided by the embodiment of the invention, under the conditionthat control parameters such as an external environment, a motor system temperature, a working condition and the like fluctuate, situations of motor damage caused by human body electric shock and toohigh high-speed no-load power generation are avoided, and safe use of the motor system in the high-voltage environment is ensured.
