The invention relates to a vibration damping device on a spacecraft, and belongs to the technical field of spaceflight. The vibration damping device comprises a first shell, a second shell and anti-damping components, wherein the first shell is provided with a first inner cavity capable of accommodating a to-be-damped part, the two opposite sides, away from the first inner cavity, of the first shell are provided with first slots, and the opening direction of the first slots faces away from the first inner cavity; the second shell is provided with a second inner cavity for accommodating the first shell, the inner walls of the two opposite sides, facing the first slots, of the second shell are provided with second slots, and the opening direction of the second slots faces the first slots; and the anti-damping components are used for reducing the impact of external acting force on the vibration damping device, the two ends of each anti-damping component are respectively arranged in the corresponding first slot and the corresponding second slot and can slide in the corresponding first slot and the corresponding second slot, so that the distance between the first shell and the second shell is adjusted. According to the vibration damping device on the spacecraft, through the anti-damping components, not only can the vibration damping effect be effectively achieved, but also the problem that the to-be-damped part is prone to loosening and even falling off can be effectively avoided.
