A high-pressure escape cabin is installed in the lifeboat in a side connection mode, and the method comprises the steps that a boat body side butt joint connector flange and an escape cabin tool are manufactured,and a boat bottom structure of the lifeboat is manufactured; a boat bottom keel frame for placing the lifeboat is in a horizontal state; an installation position of the high-pressure escape cabin is determined through an escape cabin tool and marked, the keel frame, a lower outer shell of the boat body, a bow hook base, a cabin wall and a broadside internal structure are fixed, after the structures are solidified, a lower inner shell is hoisted into the lower outer shell of the boat body to be pre-folded, then the lower inner shell is hoisted out, an impregnated felt is laid, and then the lower inner shell is hoisted into the lower outer shell to be folded; the high-pressure escape cabin is hoisted into the lower inner shell and is installed and fixed by adjusting the position; and a lateral butt joint port is fixed, the upper inner shell and the upper outer shell are installed, a floating body is filled, the upper outer shell and the lower outer shell are pre-folded, a size of a gap is determined, and the impregnated felt is laid to finish folding. According to the method, the strength of the lifeboat is improved, and a sailing resistance is reduced.
