The interlocking device is designed as a rotary locking mechanism with a connecting lug and a center piece, wherein the center piece surrounds the main axis can be rotated between the connection ready position, the connection position and the disengagementposition. The automatic traction connector is characterized in that the stop position of the lock lever is positioned so that the lock lever movesto the stop position before the center piece reaches the disengagement position of the center piece.
