The invention provides a towing vehicle system capable of efficiently charging a loading and unloading robot. The towing vehicle system includes a towing vehicle (11) and a towed vehicle (12) pulled by the towing vehicle (11). The towed vehicle (12) includes a placement portion (44) on which a cargo handling robot (30) that is rechargeable is mounted, a power supply source (31) mounted on the towed vehicle (12) and configured to supply electric power to the cargo handling robot (30), and a power controller (35) configured to control supply of electric power from the power supply source (31). While the cargo handling robot (30) mounted on the placement portion (44) is in no operation state, the power controller (35) supplies electric power to and charges the cargo handling robot (30).
