The invention relates to a stabilizer actuator (6) for the relative rotation of two stabilizer parts (2, 3) of a roll stabilizer (1), comprising a housing (7) and a permanent magnet motor (9) arrangedtherein for applying a torque, which permanent magnet motor comprises a stator (11) connected to the housing (7) in a rotationally fixed manner and a rotor (12) mounted for rotation relative to the stator about an axis of rotation (13), the stator (11) having, in the circumferential direction, a plurality of stator grooves, which extend in the axial direction and accommodate a coil winding, and the rotor (12) having, in the circumferential direction, a plurality of magnet segments, which extend in the axial direction and are carried by a rotor core. In order to reduce cogging, the stator grooves or the magnet segments each have an inclination such that the stator grooves or the magnet segments, in the course of the entire axial length thereof, extend both in the axial direction and in thecircumferential direction of the stator (11) and/or of the rotor (12). The invention further relates to a roll stabilizer (1) for a motor vehicle having a stabilizer actuator (6) of this type.
