The invention discloses a method for enabling elevator shafts of a super high-rise building to suppress the fire chimney effect. By means of the method, ventilation openings are arranged at the tops and the bottoms of the elevator shafts, the space sizes in the elevator shafts are enlarged in a manner of arranging communicating openings between the adjacent elevator shafts so as to balance the piston effect generated by high-speed motion of elevator cars, and the situation that vertical spreading of smoke is accelerated by the chimney effect is avoided; and meanwhile, positive-pressure air supply devices are arranged in elevator front chambers, and therefore smoke can be suppressed from entering the front chambers at the fire early stage, smoke diffusion can be avoided, and therefore the escape time of personnel can be guaranteed.
