The invention discloses a conveniently mounted magneto-rheological shock absorber which comprises a main body and connecting mechanisms arranged at two ends of the main body. Each connecting mechanismcomprises a connecting column provided with an insertion hole, a fixed sleeve matched with the insertion hole, insertion bars symmetrically arranged on two sides of the fixed sleeve and a control device for controlling the connecting column to come in and go out of the insertion hole. The control device comprises a turnplate rotatably arranged on the fixed sleeve, a first elastic part arranged onthe connecting column in a sleeving manner, a baffle plate arranged on the connecting column, a push block arranged in the turnplate and a locking assembly for locking the turnplate. A mounting cavity is formed in the turnplate, and the push block is provided with an arc-shaped bending first inclined plane.
