The purpose of the disclosure of the present invention is to suitably exhibit the humidity adjusting function of a humidity control device while ensuring the degree of freedom in selecting a fan. Thishumidity control device comprises: an adsorber (20); a fan (14) for supplying air to the adsorber; and mode switching parts (30, 40) for switching between a desorption mode for desorbing moisture adsorbed onto an adsorption material in order to humidify the air, and an adsorption mode for adsorbing moisture onto the adsorption material in order to dehumidify the air. The adsorber has a pair of ventilation surfaces (201, 202) through which air flows in or flows out. The mode switching parts switch between the desorption mode and the adsorption mode while the air suction direction and the air blowing direction in the fan are maintained. The mode switching parts reverse the ventilation direction of air in the adsorber such that one ventilation surface serving as the air inflow surface duringthe adsorption mode becomes the air outflow surface during the desorption mode, and such that the other ventilation surface serving as the air outflow surface during the adsorption mode becomes the air inflow surface during the desorption mode.
